At Columbia Southern University, we believe in the power of education to change lives in homes and communities. To expand opportunities for higher learning, CSU is launching the Summer College Credit Program, an initiative devoted to narrowing the summer learning gap for college-bound high school students.
What is the Summer College Credit Program?
The Summer College Credit Program allows high school students to enroll in a CSU course over the summer break to earn college-level credit.
This initiative presents an opportunity for rising high school juniors or seniors* to remain academically engaged over the summer and work towards their future collegiate goals. This program also offers high school students the opportunity to experience a college-level course at home.
The Summer College Credit Program allows high school students to enroll in a 1000 or 2000-level course at CSU.* Students also have the opportunity to complete the New Student Orientation (NSO) course to become better acquainted with CSU resources and requirements. The NSO course is offered at no cost/no credit.
Who is eligible?
High school students who have completed their sophomore year, meet the minimum 3.0 high school GPA, provide a photo ID (school ID acceptable), and are able to provide a signed High School Student Guardian Letter agreeing to the student enrollment, are eligible to enroll in the Summer College Credit Program.
What is required to apply?
High school students who meet the eligibility requirements above are able to enroll in the Summer College Credit Program. A high school transcript will be required to indicate grade completed and GPA.
Is financial aid accepted in the Summer College Credit Program?
High school students enrolled as non-degree seeking students are not eligible for financial aid. Students will pay tuition, fees, and other costs directly to CSU; no discounts are provided at this time. For more information on tuition and fees, visit ColumbiaSouthern.edu/Tuition.
As a SACSCOC accredited institution, CSU is committed to delivering quality education that aligns with the highest standards in higher education. The credits earned upon the course completion will be recorded on a college transcript.**

**No agreement has been made with the student’s high school to accept the course/grade for dual high school credit or enrollment. The credit granted is provided on a Columbia Southern University college transcript for college level credit unless otherwise noted.
